About Oneighty
Oneighty Student Ministries
Oneighty is a weekly youth event with a live DJ, live band, basketball, volleyball, café, games, motivational speakers, multi-media presentations, giveaways, all based on Christian values. Oneighty is aimed at building confidence and self-esteem in young people. It gives them a positive outlook on life while teaching them to have respect for themselves, others, and those in authority.
Student Programs
Ways to get involved at Wichita Oneighty
Unite
Unite is the student involvement movement at Oneighty. After a student graduates TurnLife discipleship course, he/she is eligible to become involved in the ministry of Oneighty. Working the café, being a greeter, student bus captain, working in nursery, visitation team, ushers, phone team, drama and video production, and student hospitality are all areas of involvement you can become part of within Oneighty. There are nearly 100 students involved in Unite currently.
TurnLife Live
TurnLife Live is the Oneighty discipleship program designed to give students a strong start spiritually in their walk with Christ. Students receiving Christ, or those simply wanting a better understanding of their relationship with God should make this a priority in their life. Eight 15 minute Live illustrations accompanied by life applications tips give students the firm foundation and understanding needed to follow Christ successfully. Classes are kept in small group settings with a maximum of 12 students per class. This helps to develop closer and more personal relationships with peers and leadership. TurnLife takes place on Wednesday night during hangtime at Oneighty. Upon graduation, students take part in a special graduation service in Oneighty with friends and family invited. Students take the zero pledge taking a stand for purity and for God. Also upon graduation students receive a Oneighty reward bible, take part in a celebration reception, and have the opportunity to purchase a TurnLife purity ring to signify their decision to follow Christ whole-heartedly.
